It’s safe to say that The Ordinary has always been on my top 3 favourite skincare brands. When it comes to skincare I always ensure that at least one (or two) steps in my routine include a product from The Ordinary. This product has always been a must-have product in my daily routine.
The Product
The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 serum is a water-based serum designed to support skin hydration. The serum is most suitable for dry skin but can still be applied to any skin type. It mimics the skins reproduction of moisture which is normally lower in dry skin.
The Good Stuff
What I love the most about this serum is how flexible its use is. The serum has saved my skin from dehydration during winter and maintained my skin barrier during summer. One of the most important lessons I’ve learnt about skincare recently is the difference between moisture and hydration. I learnt that having the best moisturiser is nothing without a deep hydrating component to keep my skin plump and to reduce signs of wrinkles.
To Be Honest…
The only things I dislike about this product is how fast it gets finished! I recommend buying the larger size if possible to last longer. Also make sure that your skin is still slightly wet after cleansing as the serum can feel quite sticky on dry skin. It is a water-based serum anyway so the skin absorbs it better with water.
Do I Still Use It?
I still use The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 serum once a day. I apply it in the morning after cleansing and before apply collagen and moisturiser. It is such a lightweight and gentle serum that it can be combined with nearly every product.
