Seasons change, extreme weather patterns come and go but one thing remains consistent: my dry skin.
This review is all about body care. I have always struggled with dry, flaky, and itchy skin. Even in summer – my skin still gets super dry and I always seek a hydrating and thick body lotion.
The Product
I came across the Soap and Glory: The Daily Smooth Dry Skin Formula Body Butter during one of my calming strolls through the aisles of Mecca. I came across the body butter in the body care section and was surprised to find such an affordable, cruelty-free lotion for dry skin.

The Daily Smooth Dry Skin Formula Body Butter contains several natural and hydrating ingredients including:
- Rosehip Seed Oil – relives itchiness.
- Cocoa Butter – super moisturising.
- Shea Butter – relieves dry skin.
- Glycerin – hydrating factor.
The Good Stuff
There are two main components that I like about this body butter. Firstly, it works well. Its thick and smooth consistency easily melts into the skin and leaves no grease behind. One of the tricky things about wearing body butters in the summer is that they normally leave my skin feeling greasy because of excess oils. However, this body butter seemed to have a perfect balance of hydrating oils and shea butter to be absorbed by the skin (in this hot and humid Australian summer the last thing I need to worry about is grease).
As for affordability, this body butter is only $20. Yes, a high-end body butter below $50 does exist.
To Be Honest…
This body butter does contain fragrance which does not bother me that much. I do not like fragrance in facial products, however, I do not mind them in body lotions because it’s good to smell nice. The body butter is scented with the Soap and Glory Mist You Madly fragrance with notes of bergamot, freesia, and vanilla. It could be an overload for some people. It would be great to have a fragrance-free body butter so people who are sensitive to fragrance can still use the butter without missing out on the moisturising benefits of the body butter.
Do I Still Use It?
Yes! It is now my go-to summer body butter.
